The Decision Analytics Intern will be joining the Decision Analytics team to work on exciting projects that will add real value to GP.

About Decision Analytics: The Decision Analytics group is a unique, centralized team within GP that pursues innovative analytics opportunities across the company’s different business segments. The team has high-level support from business leaders across GP and seeks to partner with the business to experiment quickly, creating and testing prototypes before scaling proven, high-value solutions across the enterprise to increase GP’s profitability. 

Responsibilities:

• Analytics Project Ownership: Own all aspects of analytics projects from start to finish – pursuing innovative ideas, developing innovative models, uncovering and communicating actionable insights, and implementing business solutions to capture value. 

• Thought Partnership: Develop and maintain relationships with key business partners to enable improved decision making. 

Co-ops will work 20 or more hours per week

The Experience You Will Bring?

Requirements:

·Eligible candidates will be enrolled in a degree program with an anticipated graduation date of Dec 2021- Dec 2022 

· Analytical Rigor: Proven capability creating statistical models

·Structured & Logical Thinking: Ability to identify and define business problems/opportunities and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis. A strong problem-solving capability is critical to this role

· Strong Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and on paper, and with all levels of an organization. Able to make presentations tailored to audience and communicate in an open and intellectually honest manner that quickly builds trust and respect

Assets: 

• Prior work experience in data analysis and stats modeling 

• Strong coding and statistical modeling skills in R and/or Python and/or SAS
