Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Safety Health and Environmental Intern to support our operations in New Richmond, WI. The position offers the opportunity to learn many aspects of a contract medical device manufacturing organization. This is an internship position, not benefits eligible; full-time through the summer and possibility of part-time during the school year.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Assist with the data collection, evaluation, and determination of various energy efficiency improvements
  • Assist the facility with the implementation of Focus on Energy Strategic Energy Management programs
  • Perform various energy audits and inspections of the facility and equipment
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of associated environmental records such as air emissions, chemical usages, non-contact cooling water testing, hazardous waste records and all other pertinent regulatory records, programs, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with overall environmental functions for the assigned facility and partners with onsite management and other resources to ensure local program ownership and accountability.
  • Provide support of safety initiatives at a designated facility with guidance from local safety, health and environmental management/personnel. To include (but not limited to):
  • Incident investigations and reporting
  • Safety audits
  • Process and/or procedure writing
   

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Working towards a Bachelor or Masters degree or the equivalent in fields of Safety, Health or Environmental sciences or Industrial / Mechanical Engineering.
