What You Will Do In Your Role

Join the KBX Summer 2023 Information Technology (IT) Internship Program! In this 12-week program, running from late-May to mid-August 2023, interns will join our team at our Green Bay, WI headquarters to take on full-time roles that keep us at the forefront of technology. Find your niche as a Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or UX/UI Designer. Roles are assigned based on each successful candidate’s career interests, skills, and knowledge. 

Our KBX Summer 2023 Information Technology (IT) Internship Program has opportunities in the following areas: 

Software Engineering: Join our team of engineers who are responsible for enhancing existing applications and for building applications using modern microservices architecture techniques. 

  • Development languages used: Python, C#, .NET 
  • Website development using modern web frameworks like Angular, Vue or React; with styling (SCSS, Sass, CSS) and experience taking designs and recreating with html and css
  • Developing RESTful APIs 

Cloud Engineering: Join our team that builds the automation around provisioning, monitoring, and updating our cloud infrastructure. 

UX/UI Designing: Join our team of UI/UX designers that transform requirements into user-friendly solutions within Figma. From wireframes to high fidelity prototypes, design the future features that will improve our software products. 


This internship will be in-person in Green Bay, WI. Summer housing is offered for those who don’t live in the area. 

Other internship activities include: 

  • Active participation in sprints and weekly meetings with your leader and team 
  • Weekly professional development and learning sessions 
  • Opportunities to network and engage with fellow interns, coworkers, and in the Greater Green Bay community 
  • Exposure to major departments in KBX, other Koch companies, and key partners 
  • Involvement in a summer-long team innovation challenge 
  • Various optional intern social events 



The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Eligible candidates will be enrolled in a degree program related to one of the following areas for the duration of the internship (May - August 2023): Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, or related IT field 
  • Able to work full-time for a 12-week period during the summer of 2022 in Green Bay, WI 
  • Able to work in the US without sponsorship


What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Entry-level experience or training in one or more of the following front-end or back-end languages: Python, C#, .NET, Go, Scala, Java, Swift, Angular, Vue, React, HTML, CSS, Javascript AWS, GCP, Azure, CI/CD Pipelines 
  • Entry-level experience or training in one or both of the following softwares: Figma and Adobe XD 
  • Prior Software Engineering, Software Development, UX/UI Design, or IT experience 
  • Eligible for full-time hire by Summer 2024
